GC-MS

Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) is a technique used to analyze and quantify organic volatile and semi-volatile compounds. Gas Chromatography (GC) separates mixtures into individual components, while Mass Spectrometry (MS) identifies these components based on their mass spectra and quantifies them using standards.

In addition to its common use in identifying and quantifying volatile organic compounds in mixtures, GC-MS is also employed in outgassing studies, residual solvent testing, evaluating plastic extracts, and detecting contaminants on semiconductor wafers.
