Our Background

ASMAC is the abbreviated form of Advanced Surface and Materials Analysis Centre. We are a well-established service provider with over 15 years of experience operating laboratories and conducting materials testing and analyses for local and international companies and institutions, including prominent brands such as 3M, Apple, ASTRI, Dupont Apollo, Foxconn, Movado, MTR, and the Hong Kong SAR Government.


The Centre was established in 1998 as a well-equipped research center at the Chinese University of Hong Kong to support materials research and development in Hong Kong. In 2004, the operation transitioned from the university to become a practice of analytical consultants, known as ASMAC Limited, fully owned by the CUHK Foundation Limited. In 2007, the ownership of ASMAC Limited was transferred once again, leading to its operation as an independent business entity.


Currently, ASMAC Limited operates its main office in the InnoCentre, and its technical staff are based in local universities to conduct materials analyses. Our aim is to provide solutions to every materials-related challenge you encounter.
