About Us

ASMAC is the short-form of Advanced Surface and Materials Analysis Centre. We are a well-established service provider with over 15 years of experience running laboratories and performing materials testing and analyses for local and international companies and institutions, including high-profile brands such as 3M, Apple, ASTRI, Dupont Apollo, Foxconn, Movado, MTR and Hong Kong SAR Government.

The Centre was founded in 1998 originally as a well-equipped research centre of the Chinese University of Hong Kong to support materials research and development in Hong Kong. In 2004, the operation spun off from the university as a practice of analytical consultants, named ASMAC Limited, which was fully owned by the CUHK Foundation Limited. In 2007, the ownership of ASMAC Limited was again transferred and it began to operate as an independent business entity.

Currently, ASMAC Limited runs its operation office in the Hong Kong Science & Technology Park and has its technical staff stationed in local universities to perform materials analyses. We are also strategic alliance of regional and international institutions and laboratories, including the Surface Science Western in Canada (www.uwo.ca/ssw) which is renowned for its extensive range of testing services in energy, mineral resources, health services, automotive, aerospace, environmental, electronics and plastics. We strive to provide a solution to every materials-related challenge you meet.
